Hi Josh
they said at the garden center that the lucifer crocsima was good for zone 5 as a perennial. it better be because mom bought 6 of them and they were not cheap. it said to cover them with mulch in the fall but maybe mom should dig them up and store them in the garage. the garden centers always lie so they can make a sale. it should be a perrenial where you live also because you are considered zone 6 which is warmer than pittsburgh.

mom has been walking round with poison ivy rash on her leg for 3 months now. it finally occurred to her that the small green plant with red stems and 3 leaves growing near her hummingbird feeder was poison ivy. every time mom changes the feeder she ends up brushing against it with her leg. today she went out with pliers, a plastic bag and rubber gloves and removed it from the ground. then she washed everything with dawn. maybe her rash will start to finally heal. it looks awful and the itching has been driving her crazy even after putting benedryl cream on it.

love Cori
