Hi Cu-Bird
It's really great that mom rescued that duck by calling the proper authorities. Now she can raise her babies and live a sheltered life. Was the foot not able to heal? You mentioned prosthetics, so we're curious. One year the center kept a Canada goose all winter long, because a pellet was lodged in its foot, and by the time it healed, migration was over. They took it to the river in the spring when the birds were coming back, and that goose was so happy to be outside again, it ran and flew to join the flock.
I drank a ton of water yesterday, because there was no vinegar in it! It sure tasted good! I even took a bath in it.
I hope you are having a great day, full of hugs and sunshine. Hugs, Willie
