Good Morning Napoleon!
Almond milk is still getting used to here at our house. Mom is feeling better after taking the skim milk out of her diet. She had been reading up on it and for her, found that the extra calcium she needs, this has 60% more than cow's milk. Mom, like me, needs more calcium because some of the meds she's on just suck it right out of the body! They've done bone density tests on her and those came out fine (her internist ofc) But a few months ago, the RA doctor measured her height, and she was 5'4". Most all her life she was close to 5'7". Just 16th of inch under that. So, what's going on? Maybe all those hot whirlpool soakings at the Aquatic Center? I don't think so!

Now, Mom is not able to take a glass of almond milk and throw it back. She uses it in her cooking, cereal, etc. It has lots less fat & lots less calories. Those things, along with carb. intake, she has to keep a record of because she's diabetic.

She also doesn't let me have almond milk ALL the time! No, that was just a treat for yesterday & because I was about to climb into her bowl and swim in it I was so excited to get to eat breakfast with her. That is not a common thing here. Her mate doesn't like me & if he's any where around, I'm not to come out. He & I had a misunderstanding some years back and, let's just say, he holds a tight grudge.

I hope your Mom finds that she may like almond milk too. Give it a try! Mom finally did & she is feeling better for it! Hugs, SamIAm
