Hi KooKoo sweetie
My Momma knows eggactly what your Mom is talking about with Sassy. When we first brought ANGEL home she was extremely cage aggressive and no one could handle her.
It m ay sound funny but this is what Mom did.
Angel was biting every time you tried to interact, or if you got too close when she came out onto her cage.
Mom, not liking bitten so much any more (hehe)
put on a glove. She got heavy duty work gloves and curled her fingers back as much as she could. Then she simply put her hand in and of course ANGEL bit. Now, she bit hard, to draw blood, but the glove cushioned it and MOM tried to offer her the fingers so she was biting nothing. Because she found out that biting was NOT working in getting her to leave her alone, ANGEL stopped biting over a short period of time.
How is Sassy once she is out? Can you handle her then?
If not you might need to put on 2 gloves, grab a towel and towel her carrying her off to some place such as another room etc to spend time together. It works well some times immediately other times over a period of days/weeks that the bird comes to see you are no threat.
MO)M says if you'd like she'd call you
our email is spikedeb@gmail.com
She says talking is often easier then trying to write things? Whatever that means.
hugs Casper
