Hi Sam...
What a greyt game on Wednesday! I was invited to Chloe's perch to learn some cheers. Mine are bad, but they worked. I have to convince Oki and Poppy to cheer louder. LOL Glad your Mom liked her cake. Sorry about my footprints in the icing. I was really trying to help. Mom had a hectic day yesterday. She had to go out to pick up our veggies and fruits which come in from a special supplier every two weeks. She wishes she could get them weekly because they are garden grown, but this place goes all over, and our village is only every second week. In between we are suck with store bought and what Mom is trying to grow in the garden which is not too successful yet. After that she did a very fast job on our cages, because suppertime was early. Of course snacks and goodies kept on coming. Do you know my fister Marley? Well, she has always had a bit of a beak problem, and ever since we moved here Mom has taken her to the new vet every couple of months to get it filed properly. What is great is mom is in the room with Marley, unlike at the old vet clinic, and Mom can talk to her while she is being worked on. Last night, Mom gave us our final snacks of the evening, since days are shorter, and off they went. Things went well at the vet, and Marley even gave him a rubbery kiss in thanks. No problem. They headed home... Mom stopped with Marley at this new nut stop which she was told about and picked up a supply for us. It is very hard to find nuts in the shell at this time of year, but mom found them. :) okay, homeward bound... and mom hears sneezing sounds. Mom pulls over on the side of the road, something hard to do on some country roads... Marley is sick. Mom says Oh Marley... but has no choice but to keep on driving. She knows there is nothing to do but get home as fast as possible. Marley has not eaten, and they still had half an hour to go. Upon reaching our driveway, she called Dad to come out to help empty the car, and she got Marley and carrier into the bathroom. Marley carefully lifted a foot as if to say, please take me out, I am not walking out this time. LOL Mom got her out, cuddled her, cleaned her beak... and Marley eyed the water. She wanted water. They went into the kitchen and Mom put water into a bowl. Marley saw her food bowl on the table and made a leap for it...and started eating. She felt better. Mom kept Marley with her for close to an hour, and then tiptoed into the bird room to settle her for the night. She is fine, but the stress of working on her beak (it is not a normal problem) and night driving must have set her off. This is the first time she has gotten car sick. Well, that is our news. See you real soon.
