Hi Charlie ♥
The parronts had a good trip to Oregon and picked up the bike. All went well on the trip, dad did an awesome job pulling the trailer through all of the traffic.

The drag races that dad goes to are close to us at a small track. The people there are really friendly so it makes it fun. Mom loved having the trailer at the track on Saturday, she was able to be comfortable for the first time in a long time. Dad loved it as well since he could sit in the cool trailer between his races. It was nice since it has the two couches, people would stop over for a visit. They had an appreciation BBQ and the parronts stayed for that. Dad was super tired and was very nervous about driving in the dark with the trailer so he talked mom into staying over and leaving first thing in the morning so they did.

I don't think I told you that the bike did not work well on Saturday...it would not shift out of first. Dad got to practice his starts but that was about it. They tried to fix it at the track but didn't have any luck. Dad spent almost all day yesterday trying to figure out the problem. He started again today after the parronts got home from the clinic where dad gets his blood checked but they did not come straight home...the nerve...they had breakfast and then they went grocery shopping...more nerve. Dad went out and started on the bike again while mom worked on putting the groceries away. The good news is that dad found the problem and it was a simple one that is not going to cost any money...mom was super happy about that. On Saturday morning when dad was doing something in the trailer the bike started to fall and dad managed to keep it from doing that but the shift lever got bent and that made it bind up so it would not shift. Dad straightened it out and the shifter worked...Happy Days!

We have been having hot weather for a while now. The days have been in the 90s which is pretty warm for us now.

Mom has an MRI scheduled for August 28th, the neurologist wants the MRI of mom's neck, so we will see if that has anything to do with mom's pain in her hands, wrists, and arms.

Guess what? The power chair got approved for mom! She will get it in a few days after they install a couple of things. The parronts are very happy about it. It should make life easier for her. She will be able to go out into the garden now.
