Hi Sugar!
We are so sorry! We wrote on your Bird Archive page by mistake! We will re-paste here and you can delete our other one. Sorry!

How are you? Hope you enjoyed your Saturday. We had nice weather here this weekend. Today (Sunday) is as nice as yesterday. But it is sad because you can feel fall in the air. We like when it's warm out so we can have the windows open.

We are also always praying for your dad. It's so horrible to be out of work like that. We wish we could help but we live so far away. Our search is plugging along. Our current boss says he has some more work for us but mom's still waiting for this "proposal" or whatever it's called. It's more an informal email first.

Mom understands about changing fields and many others don't. You have to start at entry level. You can't use your old resume. You have to somehow revamp it to show you have the skills for the new job/field. Mom highly recommends "What Color is Your Parachute? 2013 Version". It is very helpful. One trick: seek out employers you want to work for and contract them, regardless of if they are hiring. Mom had actually started doing that before she read the book and she's gotten 4 jobs that way in the past. Just curious: what field was he in and what is he going into?
Mom has the problem that she's always taught or done real estate. Now she's got some transcription and writing under her belt. But most professional experience is in the other fields, which are not doing well here. That book gives you tips on switching fields and things like that. They say that employers' least favorite way of hiring is placing an ad. Tell dad to give it a shot. And feel free to ask me any questions. I know my mom's still out of work but she's learned a lot along the way.

Mom's job sounds cool! Mom would love to shop in a high-end Wal-Mart! :-)

We all thank you so much for your thoughtful words and your prayers. They really mean so much to mom. We also are always thinking about your Dad and praying he gets something soon. But we agree: one day at a time!

Well, we are off to work and look for work! LOL Mom went to the county fair this week (just like Cookie's mom did but not on the same day). And then G'pa had to have a minor procedure done for his veins for dialysis and the first appointment we were there over two hours and there was still a guy ahead of us. They said they had 2 emergencies, but mom and G'pa felt they should have called and told us that or rescheduled. So both G'pa and this other guy left because they couldn't tell them how much longer it'd be. So then Thursday, mom took G'pa back again to get it actually done this time! So that was 3 in-cage days! We were not happy campers.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thoughts and prayers to you Dad. :-)

Wing Hugs,

P.S. Muffin is adorable!!!
