exciting news!
i have some very exciting and wonderful news, which i have known of for a week now but haven't told anyone about yet, in case if plans were changed.. but now that everything's set and official, i can't hold it in any longer!

i have two new baby siblings! a friend of mother's from her work had two young budgies that she no longer wanted, and mother happily accepted them into our home (: they were brought home only this morning.

they currently share a cage and are now living in mother's room, quite far away from where i reside, which is in the living room. we're quarantining them for at least two months, possibly three, just to be safe, so i of course will have no interaction with them for a while. mother's actually not sure if she'll ever have me interact with them, since she doesn't want to ruin the bond she shares with me. what are your thoughts..?

we're not sure of the budgie's ages but mother thinks she remembers her friend saying that the yellow one is over a year and the blue one is just under one year.

they're both really too young for us to be positive of their sex, but right now the blue one's cere is pink and seems to be becoming purple so mother expects it's a boy.. the yellow one is a bit harder to tell, it's cere is still a pale pink, and mother's hoping for it to be a little girl. of course, that would mean having to buy TWO new cages instead of one (she'll have to get a new one for them eventually anyway, the cage they currently have is much too small for two birds), but she's alright with that (:

i have posted two pictures of them on my page. i apologize for the quality - mother didn't want to get too close to them, so that they don't get scared. they've had a VERY big day and while she is sitting in her room with them, she's keeping her distance and giving them peace.

i hope all is well with you and yours! please come by as soon as you can and help mother with names! we'd appreciate any suggestions!

signing off, with all the love my little budgie heart can give ♥ xoxox
