|Elvis quietly returns to the calendar page...
..the parronts are home finally and safe. Uncle Dave's service was a celebration of life, the way he would have wanted it. This is from his memorial service.....
David lived a cowboy's life of coffee, leather and brotherhood. His first love was bull riding at a young age, retiring from the sport at 56 years of age but his passion remained. His love for others and passion for simple things are a rare characteristic that will be truly missed.
Just a note, after all this medication, surgical procedures and chemotherapy, David stopped by a local rodeo. While the 18 and 20 year olds were getting tossed off the bull left and right, David, decided to show them how it was done. He rode that, bull, stayed on that bull longer than any of the contestants.
My conclusion, though I'm only a parrot (and will never ride a real bull), when you have a situation, get on and hang on and ride it through.
Our loving thoughts to mamma Ellen for Joey's flight to the Bridge along with dear Skipper. They will both find immense enjoyment with our frothers up there.
Remember a pray for Oz's mom and for supernatural healing and recovery. And keep pappa Rich Adler in prayer for freedom from pain and wisdom for the neurosurgeon to see him on September 10th. And don't stop praying for Dixie!
Traveling mercies to all coming and going this holiday weekend. Love and winghugs, Elvis and the Stark Flock
