Hi Taz,

Let everybirdy on BC express their appreciation for Casey stepping up (get it??) and covering for our dear friend Dixie in his hour of need. Dixie's dad is in severe pain and medical difficulty, plus his Nana is going through cataract surgery. His mom just can't handle the additional burden of typing blogs for his campaign right now. However Casey will thrill us all this month in his place, and Dixie will hopefully be ready and able to run next month in Casey's spot. As BOTM Calendar Curator I couldn't be more grateful for this example of BC support for a bird in need. So let's all show our support of Casey #225323 every day this month as well. Besides remember his flockmate Queen Little Angel's campaign? Yep, I suspect we can look forward to more thrilling stories from Casey.

My mom is taking it easy today, since it is too darned hot to do anything else here. Oh yeah, we got a cool down today....88 instead of 96. Sorry, that is not cool in my book, and it is heating up again over the next several days till it is back to 99 on Thursday. Mom is suffering, and even Dad is not comfortable and he can really handle the heat. I have my fan going all day, so I am dealing. No outside time though. It is already too warm at 9AM!!

Too bad the parts for Mom's chair didn't come in before the holiday. Hopefully they will be there and waiting on Tuesday. Who puts them together?

September is often the hottest month of the year here, so these temps are not that unusual. However the 60% humidity is very unusual, and Mom doesn't like it at all! She drips!!
