Hey Pearl and Silver!
Yeah...I guess it depends what the project you are knitting and where the mistake is as to whether or not you fix it. But sometimes my mom can knit herself into a disaster...doesn't know why it happens. She will try and try to fix it....but just makes more of a problem. That's when she rips everything out ....and puts it away for a few days! I always know when that is happening because I can hear her mumbling!
Well.....when the kids were young mom would buy a new baskets every year for them . They were flimsy back then and could crush easily. Usually one of the kids would either sit on one or step on one...and that was it for the basket. Then the baskets started getting really nice...and fancy and more durable. That's when we would use them from year to year. But that was short term because by that time the kids were getting older!
