Hello Jasper
First, I'm really sorry I missed out on the BBQ Monday. I was thinking I might get Simon to come with me but I don't even know if he could've made it. I found out it wasn't likely I was going to myself; that was the day Dad chose to work on the front of the house. The front porch on this place has always looked awful, in mom's opinion, so she declared that the thing was coming off, no matter wether dad had time to rebuild a new one right away or not. It was torn off a couple of weeks ago but the finishing work was left undone until the holiday weekend. Mom took a break for the baseball game but that was all she got; it was back out to help with cutting siding, moving ladders and then cleaning up the mess. And oh yeah, moving conures to bird barn where they couldn't hear the pounding on the outside of their room. That had them squawking in complete panic! Even I was concerned there for awhile, thinking the walls were surely going to fall in on me. I bet all your mom's cooking was so tasty. She always sends such tasty treats to the games so the BBQ fare had to have been delicious as well. When baseball season is completely finished for the year maybe I'll have time for other extracurricular activities, BBQs included.

I bet it was a beautiful sight to see you fly. I've seen videos of macaws in flight and always find myself wishing I could experience the same. That such a shame that your aviary is on hold because of a neighbor's complaints. And I'm really surprised that it's Floop making the noise; I thought Greenwings were the quiet ones of the macaw world! Maybe he'll be entertained by all the things to watch while outdoors and won't holler at all when in the aviary. I hope you get one. It's really nice to get out of the house and see something different for at least a little bit of the day. I'm making an effort to soak up all the sunshine I can right now because I know these warm days are numbered. According to the weather widget on mom's phone, I've got through Sept 12 at least. Friday the 13th the high is only supposed to be 78 which means I won't be out much that day at all. Oh dear. Oh my... winter is coming.

You and your beautiful wings have a lovely Wednesday, okay?

Your friend,
