Watch where you step in the jungle
Hello every bird, Casey here with today's BOTM post. I thank you each and all for the wonderful support you are giving me, in my quest for the Castle.
"Just a quick reminder to check out the post on the Calender page-190654-regarding the raffle to support Marley's Menagerie. When I was at the BBQ on Monday, Floop and I snuck off to look at all the awesome prizes. You won't be disappointed"

"Let's go this way Kiddo" Casey yells starting up the nearest vine. Poor Kiddo hurries to keep up. " Please slow down Casey there are all sorts of dangers in the jungle."
No sooner had the words been spoken then a long, furry arm reached down to snatch the explorers hat from Casey's head.
"HEY!" screamed Casey, taken by surprise, looking up intot he face of a monster? " EEEEEEEEEEEEK" screamed Casey in fright, almost losing his balance on the vine.
"Casey, it's ok, it's just Maxie the monkey. HE won't hurt you" Kiddo laughs at the wide-eyed look on Casey's face.
The Monkey chatters at Casey and places the hat back on his head. Casey grins sheepishly as he tries to regain his man-birdly composure.
"Ok, Kiddo, let's stick close. You lead the way from here on" Casey waves his wing gallantly to show Kiddo his agreement.
"If we climb up this vine, we can get a good view of the jungle and all the many ponds and waterfalls. It's breath-taking" Kiddo begins to climb easily up the long vine, Casey keeping just a step behind. Upon reaching the lush canopy high in the trees, they pause to catch their breath. "Follow me, I know eggactly the prefect spot to get a wonderful panoramic view"
"A pano-whatsa?" Casey asks a serious look on his face. Kiddo moves off to the right then pushes the branches aside. " SEE!"
"OH WOWWW. It's, it's amazing Kiddo" Casey turns his head from right to left taking in the beauty below them. Off in the distance a herd of Impala bounce across the grasslands. Parrots and jungle birds call each other across the distance.
"Kiddo, I can't believe how wonderful it is."
"Yes, but there are dangers lurking too. You must always be care in the jungle."
"I will be." Casey takes another look before saying, " now can we begin to explore?"
"Of course, follow me." Kiddo climbs onto a vine that easily takes them back to the jungle floor below. Casey staying very close behind. " This way" Kiddo heads off to the west.
The two walk carefully together along a narrow pathway cut through the dense undergrowth. Suddenly Kiddo stops, causing Casey to bump into him. Both birds fall head first into moist leaves. " SSSHHHHH!" Kiddo holds up his wing to his beak. " LISTEN"
Casey stands very still, ears listening carefully. " I can't hear anything Kiddo"
"Listen" Kiddo says again. Then Casey hears the soft snap of a twig on the pathway ahead.
