Hello Scion
I imagine you're somewhat dreading today as it's the one on which your Mom leaves for the States. No head scritches for awhile.... that's a dreadful thought. I'm glad to know though that you step up for Dad which at least means you'll be out and about around the house. How cute that you help do the food chores.

I wonder what it is that's inspired your playing with toys here recently. Perhaps it's that the meds have helped you to feel differently and thus you feel more like playing? Or maybe it's just taken that long for you to decide the toys are worthy of being played with! I'm not a big toy-destroyer myself — I'd rather sit and talk about whatever comes to mind. Every once in awhile though I bust of my comfort zone and work a toy over good. I think it surprises mom when she sees it happening because of the fact I just don't do it often. Yesterday was one of those days. There's been this darling little coconut contraption hanging on the spare cage out by the computer table for probably a year now. Not a single one of us parrots has ever touched it even though it's got all sorts of nifty little do-dads on the inside. You'd think mom would switch it out with something seeing that none of us are too interested in it. And you'd think she'd get tired of dusting it too! But yesterday, all of a sudden, the coconut was THE thing to play with! I shredded the outer shell, plucked away the hairy stuff and proceeded to pull out all those little foot toys in the middle. My, what a treasure-trove of goodies were in there! What drives us parrots? What inspires our actions? Who knows, including myself.

Scion, here's wishing your mom a safe and uneventful trip back east. May your new bottle of medicine make it back to you safely as well and may you survive without those precious scritches until your Mom returns to you.

Leaving you with a "Kelly~Kiss"
