Hey Blue
Jack calls as he heads towards the door to the house. Blue hears Jack and returns the greeting.
"Let's go have that pie." Jack grins as he waits for his friend to get ready to go, " we can stop by at the Castle too, and visit Queen Muffin"
Blue tells his Mom where is will be and the two head out the door together. " Come on, let's take the boardwalk by the lake"
They race down the path togetehr, stopping now and then to watch ducks on the water, or to skip stones over the calm surface"
At the Pie Shoppe, Jack holds open the door and follows his buddy inside. The air is filled with the scent of freshly baked pies.
"Let's take a table by the window" Blue says
"OK, I'll go get those slices of pie." Jack heads off to the counter and orders too big slices of pie" Taking his seat next to Blue they talk, and joke just like old friends....
