Hi, Mackenzie
We understand that your mom's busy and isn't able to be on BC everyday. It's the same for many of us.

Yup, mom designed and knit that hat for skinsis. Mom made a plain one last year and it didn't take long for skinsis boyfriend to take it over. So mom used a stitch pattern that's kinda lacy looking, definitely not something a guy would normally wear, right? It's called ridged feather, but was selected for the look rather than the name, heehee.

Makes sense if the turkeys make a few different sounds. They must communicate with each other a tad. Just must be such fun to watch and listen to their antics.

Quick story. We had a lone sunflower plant. It grew near the sidewalk next to a low fence. Well, the seed head began to form the seeds and before it turned from the white color to the finished black/white something ate part of it! A couple days later dad looked out the window and saw the culprit sitting on the top and eggstrating seeds. It was a squirrel. He polished off the rest of it within a few days. Now, if he'd waited until the seeds were ripe think they would've been more meaty and tasty, wouldn't they? Not sure if any birds got any. Since we aren't overly fond of sunflower seeds it was always meant for the wildlife.

Have a wonderful day, wing hugs, beak kisses and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
