Hi RaneBeau
Mom and Dad just got back from the neurosurgeons, they were supposed to go this afternoon at 4:00 but they got a phone call around 9:30 this morning to come in for 10:00am! You should've seen them scramble,Mom had no time to feed us or clean our cages, she opened our blinds and didn't even leave us with the radio, just took off! The neurosurgeon was an old guy and very nice and showed the parronts dad's MRI pictures and eggsplained everything what was going on and then he gave dad an eggsam, then they went back into his office and both Mom and dad told him the meds weren't helping that much and dad still couldn't drive or sit so the dr told dad he could have the mircro surgery and they have to go back and see the Dr who will be doing it next Wednesday for another consultation, but that one won't be as long as this one was.Dad has to get a referral from his primary care dr and then after next Wednesday the surgery date will be sometime before the end of this month. The micro surgery will only take an hour to an hour and a half and Dad can come home in the same day. Both Mom and Dad can't wait for this to start happening. Then the dr gave dad a script for more oxycodone and when Mom got to the grocery store prescription counter, they couldn't fill them because the dr wrote it out wrong,so Mom had to go back to the neurosurgeons to have dad get the right dosage and then Mom had to take dad to Town Hall to drop off the FMLA papers that he needed filled out(which the neurosurgeon filled out)for work!Mom told dad that she would get the script filled for him tomorrow when she goes out on her regular errand runs! She really didn't want to drive through all that traffic again. Mom didn't get home with dad til after 12:30 and she had to quickly give us a cleaning and feed us our bean mix which we were squawking and yelling at her because she left us starving! Mom is egghausted from all this running around!Mom found a message on our answering machine and now the neurosurgeon wants to see dad tomorrow afternoon at 4pm,just what Mom wants to do,drive in Hyannis right in rush hour traffic! Hopefully by tomorrow then we may get a definite surgery date for my dad!Mom can't wait to start getting her life back again and I think dad is getting really bored doing nothing all day!
Dixie gives RaneBeau a warm hug and holds him tight! I missed you and wanted to see you! You always make my day!
