Gary the Gorilla and so much more
Hi every birdie, Casey here with the continuing Adventures of Casey and Kiddo. Today, for many of my American friends, and those world wide it is also a day of sadness and reflection. It was today that the World was shaken by terrorist attacks on the USA. May we all take a minute to remember all those who lost their lives, for their families left behind, and for world peace.

Kiddo turns to look back at Casey as they ride along on George's soft back. "Just around this corner, I have a surprise to show you Casey" Kiddo says, " it was a gift from Sam to my Dad.
Casey looks with anticipation as George effortlessly strides along the pathway. Reaching a sharp bend, George stops and looks up at Kiddo riding on his neck. "Ready?"
"Yes, let's go!" Kiddo pats his friend on the neck and looks intent on the dense jungle foliage. Suddenly the air echos with a loud thumping noise followed by several deep grunting growls.
"GARY!!!! It's Kiddo and Casey. Come say HELLO!" George stops and waits very calmly as the sound of heavy foot steps, cracking twigs and rustling leaves grows closer. The dense green leaves part and there, standing inches away is the hugest, Silver-backed Gorilla EVER! Tilting his massive head to the side for a better look, he eyes up Kiddo then Casey before bursting into loud, rakish laughter.
"How are you my friend?' the Gorilla asks politely. " How is your Dad Kiddo?"
"Kiddo climbs down from George and waves for Casey to follow. "Gary, we are all fine. My Dad said to say hello to you." Kiddo gives the huge fury fellow a hug. Casey nervously extends his wing. Gary, takes it very gently and shakes it. " Nice to meet you Casey."
"SamIam, give him to my Dad a while back when he needed some cheering up when he wasn't well. Gary came to live in the Jungle with George. He's a "Get well Gorilla" only one of his kind that I know of."
After a short visit, George, Kiddo and Casey move on through the jungle. " Over there, is another huge waterfalls, with a beautiful pool of clear, warm, blue water in it for us birdies to bathe in.
"Let's go play in the water for a while" Casey suggests.
"Greyt idea, I'm up for a romp in the pool" George adds as he veers of the path. The sounds of rushing waters and a soft gentle mist envelope the scene as they push through the vines.
"Oh my Kiddo, it is wonderful. So blue. Last one in, is a slow-poke" Casey hops down from George making a quick beeline to the edge of the pool, diving in without waiting . Coming to the surface he is splashed by both George and Kiddo. Soon the three are having a wonderful game of water tag, laughing and splashing as only birdies can, and Tigers too for that matter.
'I think we better be moving on now" George says reluctantly, " much more to see.........."
see you tomorrow
