Hi Floop
It's been cool overnight here lately, but the days are still warm. That's good, because mom can hang her suit and towel out to dry on pool days.
Mom visited the rescue yesterday, and met Debby and Maxine. Debby is the derbyan hen, who was pretty cool, but mom thought she had a chance of someone picking her out. Maxine looked like she needed a place to live, just be a bird for awhile, and rest. That suited mom, so she picked 18 year old moustached parakeet, Maxine. The rescue lady told mom she could have her, but mom insisted on making a donation. Thanks to Aunt Jane, mom had a wingabago for a nice carrier for Maxine. Mom probably won't post a page for her, but we'll get some pics of her for my page. The poor girl lost her tail feathers and lots of body feathers when Robin bathed her, and they're just growing in. She also has no toenails that mom can see. If anybirdie knows if mom needs to make special perches or anything for that condition, let us know.
Today was waterfowl, turkey, possum, and squirrel day for mom at the center. Everyone is growing up and getting well, it seems. The place isn't nearly as crowded as it was a month ago!
Hope you are having a great day with lots of love. Hugs, Falco
