Hi Kiddo
hope your mom is managing to hang in there til her surgery.

HAPPY HUMPDAY

well its finally happened. the asian carp is invading pa rivers and waters. the asian carp is more commonly known as goldfish. the plankton eating goldfish were originally imported by southern catfish farmers to clean up algae and also used in sewage treatment plants. they can quickly over run and wipe out aquatic ecosystems by eating the plankton native species rely on to survive. they escaped and traveled up the mississippi river and its tributaries and a electric barrier is all that is preventing them from entering lake michigan and the illinois river. they are escaping that and entering the great lakes. boaters in the great lakes have reported that they have jumped out of the water and knocked them out of their boats when they are startled. they are planning to poison them which doesn't bode well for pa residents who rely on the rivers for their drinking water.

love Cori
