Hi Ditto and Mom... Jasper and a few words
from Mom first... Hi Ditto's mom. I read about your allergy to the Tiel and know all too well about those. I am asthmatic myself and when working with certain birds, I wear a mask, so as not to breathe in the dander and feathers. Cockatoos and cockatiels are the worst, and Greys can be next in line if not showered regularly. You are very lucky you found a good home for the tiel so quickly. Here you go Jasper - your turn now. Hi Ditto. These moms have lots to say. I came to Mom as a baby and I am spoiled. There are two greenwings living here too, but I am the baby of the bunch of big birds. I do not get my way all the time - none of us do. Floop thinks he does but really he doesn't. Mom makes a game of it and he goes a long with it. He is very noisy for a greenwing - Mom was told they are quiet and he is LOUD and he talks as much if not more than a Grey. Maybe your mom will get that conure afterall. They are not as dusty as tiels and if it was meant to be, it will happen. BUT - remind her - no more tiels, even though they are fantastic birds. Mom is supposed to have one coming into the rescue soon and she already has a home for it, so she will not have to worry about the extra dust. She knew it was coming and all the blood tests will have been done, so she planned ahead and started looking for a home. A little secret here while mom is not looking. She is older than your Mom and she said if you really want a macaw, you can always adopt an older one if you look around. it does not have to be a baby, but it could be harder to bond with than a baby. You are not too old. See you again.
