Hello Miss Tahoe
Arthur Alex here with a Saturday afternoon greeting. Writing time for this Grey guy has been almost non-existent. I definitely got more of it when I lived in Rock Island. That's not to say I think about you any less! I often find myself wondering what you're doing there in St. Charles and how things are with your beautiful family. All's well here among the McFlock. I remain very excited about any chance to go outside, practically leaping into the travel cage when it's brought towards my cage. Come time to head back into the house, I'm not as thrilled about the move and have taken up doing some evasive moves in order to avoid going back inside. The other day I got told "Okay, you can stay out then" and watched everybirdie else be carried inside. For the first 10 minutes or so of being out in the aviary all by myself, I thought it was pretty neat but then I realized I wasn't as keen on the idea and sounded the squeak alarm! I can tell you there were no evasive side-steps when the travel cage was held up that time; I hopped right in and would've shut the door behind me had mom not done it for me.

I'm also proud to say that in the last week I've dared to touch the end of the dreaded mobile perch. That's quite a step for me seeing as the mere sight of that awful stick has caused some fright and flight in the past. I get a tiny piece of walnut each time I just tap the stick. Biting it does not earn a reward I've found out. A gentle touch does though so that's what I'll aim to do from here on out.

Hoping things in your life are bringing a smile to that gorgeous beak of yours.

Happy Autumn Weekend from your friend, Arthur Alex
