Hey Josh!
What an absolutely horrify experience for your poor parronts! Fire is mom's biggest nightmare about living here. If fire came over the hillside there would be very little time to vacate. I'm so grateful all is well and everyone is just fine! It sounds like your house is already on the market? The parronts have interviewed two realtors and have two more they've decided to talk to. Depending upon who, the time to list is a bit up in the air and like your home, it has to be the right person as this place won't appeal to everyone. The parronts really don't have any marketing strategies and are hoping that a realtor will be a bit more on the ball, but how to know? It's a crap shoot really. If we learn anything we will surely share, please ask your parronts to do the same. In the meantime, the path to listing is an enormous task. I'm happy to be a bird in this case, they still need to take care of me so I think I'm good! Ha!
Oh no, it's impossible to explain to people who have no affinity for animals about how those of us who do, feel. So sad for them - mom says we have all rescued her whether we were rescues or not. We all own a piece of her heart and we are her family!!!
A quick story and then I have to saw Roxy, the black lab trying to get under the door to the pantry and thought she might be chasing yet another spider to eat. Mom put the dogs outside so she could rescue it. When she opened the pantry door, it was a baby lizard no more than 2 inches long, so so cute. So mom trapped him in a plastic cup she uses for such occasions and released him out front. The next day when she went out to get the paper, here comes the little guy tearing across the driveway to say hello and thank you and then he went right back into the bushes. Why do people think animals don't have feelings or understand anything or are dumb? Mom feels so sorry for those people. They are missing out on one of the most amazing mysteries in the universe!
p.s. thank your sweet mom for the emails - they are so heartwarming!
