Hello Simon
So I'm the apple of your eye, am I? Oh goodie! I love being your special girl. And yes, I know how much you love me. The thought, it makes me smile.

Wonderful news about your mom starting to feel better. What a shame that it was possibly those new meds that were making her feel so bad. Could it be a combo of those and those horribly painful shots that all came together to make her feel so bad? Poor dear, awake all night for at least two days! I hope she got the chance to catch up on that lost sleep. Looks like she's gone out and gotten her fingers all dressed up ... in BLUE & GOLD colors! How about that, Simon — she's got your colors on! (Good choice, Mama Gail!) How's the power chair driving coming along? I bet your mom's got it figured out and is cruising around the house with ease. Her shoulders will really appreciate the break.

Boy, I sure do hope the weather cooperates so your dad can get a last few races in for the season. He ended up missing out on a lot this year. What a disappointment. for him.

We've had the nicest week of weather; mid-80s, no humidity, sunny, breezy, PERFECT! I've been outside every day and reminded to enjoy it thoroughly because next week's weather is only in the 60s which means this parrot will be entertaining herself indoors all day then. Last night when everybirdie was being tucked in, I seemed more interested in hanging with mom so I was escorted to the front room and sat with mom while she made Dixie's next BOTM picture. When that was done, we sat on the couch for a bit, until mom got tired of steering my beak away from the rivets on her jeans or the buttons on her shirt or the scratches on her arm... my beak has to be busy all the time!! When I was put on the stand in the kitchen, I proceeded to rip out one of my little chest feathers. I haven't done that in a long time. I hope I don't feel the need to do it again anytime soon; it hurts when I yank one! I yelp when I pull it! You'd think I'd skip yanking a feather just to skip the pain, but no, silly me, the beak's got to be busy.

I'm wishing you a very nice Thursday, my sweet Simon. I hope your mom has one too, with no aching shoulders, no antsy foot (did those marching ants go away?) and no awful feelings anywhere.

All my love to you~
XXOO
