Hi Mayo--
Gee, you reminded Mom that this was gonna be the year she paid more attention to the roses....sigh. Actually, they did get fed back in the spring, cuz Mom planted two Zepherine Drouhan climbing roses....she's not sure how it's spelled, but they're the ones that will tolerate some shade. They're on the eastern side of the shed, so they may turn out to be a bit more hardy than the America climbers she had there...she lost one of them...she thinks to a cat using the garden for a litter box. She almost lost one of the new ones...there was a groundhog hole near it, and she decided to try the kitty-litter deterrent....youda thunk she'd have figured out that'd be a bad idea cuz of what happened to the other one, but noooooo.... sheesh...silly hoomans. It did get rid of the groundhog, tho....gotta give it that!

The new guys are all settling in really well...It won't be long before they're part of the scenery here!

Hugs and kisses....
