A story from the owner of Cutie
A few months after I got Cutie, she escaped from her cage. Back then, i didn't know about the dangers of sticky mousetraps. She went under my bed and got stuck in one. I came home, and I couldn't find her. I looked everywhere, but I found her, and she was stuck. Her whole body was plastered on it, and her foot was apparently broken. It took about two hours to cut the glue off so we could get her off of it. She lost over half of her feathers, and she had to stay in a box because she couldn't perch. We had to give her a special diet with lots of vitamins so she could heal. She healed up fine, and around two months later, she had eggs with our other parakeet, Tiny. She sometimes has trouble perching still, though, so we always make sure she has a comfortable place she can rest. She is a great bird.
