Good Evening Another Monday Down & A New Week begin anew! Will we get something done around here? It is to laugh I'm afraid! Mom took on a real nasty project. Now that she finally got her mate to remove the cast iron stove that was nestled on her hearth for over 20 years & 15 yrs of that, not able to use it, she began dry brushing/scrubbing some of that black burnt stuff off the sides. An unfortunate occurrence while having that stove hooked up, wasps had a way of finding themselves into our home via the chimney even though the flue would be close & all the inserts pieces as flush as they could be. But the chimney is made out of stone & no rock ever found a straight edge that they argeed with. So the wasps would get in & hound the living. Yep. Mom's allergic to those, too. Mom's mate found another item to add to keep those flying flaming stingers out by adding a bit more solid structure & caulking it to the bumpy rock edges. Worked great! But taking that caulking off the walls of the empty fireplace has been terrible but Mom is making progress.

It's a fair size fireplace. To get the leverage Mom needs to scrape at this mess, she has to sit right in there. It's pretty hard on old bones! I have been invited to watch all of this & I did sitting on my new bird stand. Yes. I actually got on it in a different room. Seems to turn into a googlely thousand armed monster if it's anywhere NEAR my cage, but to have in a different room, then it's a great place to perch & preen. I stayed on it for close to 45minutes today! New world's record for this bird! I soon grew bored of all the scraping & flew back to my cage. Mom has made me a cup full of colorful water bottle caps. She filled one of my play gym cups with nothing but those things. The other bowl she filled about 1/3rd the way with water. When she returned I was so PROUD!! I had put every one of those caps into the water dish. Mom found me holding one, drinking the water out of it then...FLING it at the tall part of my cage & they go bouncing off the bars in every direction. Mom's still picking up bottle caps. If ya flick them with your foot just right, they sail off like a frisbee! It is just GREYT!

See ya tomorrow! Hugs, SamIAm
