Hi Jivu
no we were not aware of the bush fires going on in your country. we had a lot of fires in our country this summer and mom read an article saying that not nearly as many animals and birds perish in these nasty fires as one might expect. many ground living animals burrow deep undergound and hunker down until the fire passes while birds and things are able to fly away from it. they sense the fire coming and know which way to flee plus other will just flee on the ground and leave babies and such. trouble is sometimes it deserts their food source and so then they might starve but they are usually pretty adaptable to these things. usually when food is scarce the hormone cycles drop and no breeding until food and cover is more plentiful. glad you are safe.

love Cori
