Hi Kallie
Our next island was Dominica (dom in EEKa), in the West Indies. We met some people there dressed in local costume (4th pic), saw a beautiful waterfall, bought local crafts (pic 2), and got some great shots of the ship from the crest of a hill. There was a woman on the pier selling crepe paper flowers there, saying it was to help her children's education. Our excursion guide told us that was true, because although education is free and compulsory from age 3 to 16, parents must supply books and uniforms for their children. The average annual income there is between $1000 and $1500! Books and uniforms are expensive so it's hard for the parents. It was a beautiful island, though. Hope you are having a great day! Hugs, Falco
