Hi Bird Dad
Hello every birdie!!
Bird!!! There's a bunch of early birds on here today!!!

For my BOTM campaign I am going to be using my Star Trek Enterprise shuttlecraft, the Galileo, to take us on far-flung adventures. From the very bottom of Earth’s deepest seas to the far reaches of the Universe.

Dec 7th:
Get the raincoats out again. Its going to get real wet today!!!
If you bring a lunch keep your bread dry. LOL.

Cherrapunji, in the East Khasi Hills in the Indian state of Meghalaya, holds the honor of being the 2nd wettest place on earth. The average yearly rainfall of the region fluctuates from year to year. The number normally falls fairly close to 450 inches (thirty-seven and a half feet). The majority of this rain falls during the monsoon season, in which huge tropical storms batter the region and unleash massive amounts of condensation. That’s a lot of rain fokes. I wonder if they go though lot of umbrellas?

The locals who live in this region are known as the Khasi. After hundreds of years they have developed ingenious ways of dealing with the extreme rainfall and even turned it to their advantage. For example, they are known for their ability to build living bridges, which involves directing the roots of large trees to grow over rivers. Although this process takes a fairly long time (10 to 15 years), the bridges, if constructed properly, can last for centuries. Wish I could do this with my perches.

I wanta thank every bird for all the wonderful support and words of encouragement.
