Good evening, Winky.
Lucky, from Briarwood, NY, here. Congrats on winning BOTD. I was just reading your how we met. Awww, you aren't an ugly parrot. You're beautiful just the way you are. I am an African-Grey and I, too, have feather problems. There was a time when I had lost almost all of my feathers. Then I started having seizures. My daddy took me to the vet and I was diagnosed with calcium and vitamin D3 insufficiency. It causes seizures in Greys and causes feather loss. But now that I'm on calcium and vitamin D3, my seizures are under control and I have grown most of my feathers. It is also typical for Greys to be feather pickers. Daddy's friend who has two Quaker Parrots, one of whom daddy gave to her, told daddy that one of her Quakers is a feather picker. But that isn't as common in other parrots as it is with us Greys. So, you're not alone. Well, it was nice to have flown on the squawk and share with you. With that, I leave you with beaky kisses, wing hugs and a vote. Lucky.
