The snowball fight at the KB was fun last night. No one won but it was still fun!!!
For my BOTM campaign I am going to be using my Star Trek Enterprise shuttlecraft, the Galileo, to take us on far-flung adventures. From the very bottom of Earth’s deepest seas to the far reaches of the Universe we will go.
Dec. 28: Ms BBs BOTM campaign.
All of your votes are deeply appreciated. If I don’t thank you every day its only because there is only so much time in one day.
We have to travel a long way to meet up with our next destination. Good thing the shuttle has a warp drive engine. We are going to observe Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. There have been many references to these two spacecraft on our travels. Voyager 1 launched on Sept. 5th,1977, Voyager 2, 16 days later to take advantage of the planets being in favorable alignment during the late 1970s.
Thirty-six years after they launched from Earth to observe the outer planets, the plutonium-powered probes are more than 11.5 billion miles from the sun. Scientist now say they actually made their exits into interstellar space more than a year ago.
The amount of power available from the Plutonium reactor & batteries to the probes has decreased over time, and will be no longer able to power any single instrument by 2025. We still get some info from both probes.
Look on the side of Voyager and you will see a golden record fastened there. It has pictures and sounds of Earth, along with symbolic directions for playing the record and data detailing the location of Earth. The record is intended as a combination time capsule and interstellar message to any civilization, alien or far-future human, that may recover either of the Voyager craft.
No Cookie & LA, you cant play the record!!
