Hi Sweetpepper
They're dogs, Not little people in fur suits, mom says. But Daisy does have a wardrobe, a couple of sweaters and a fleece jacket. Polly has longer fur, so mom doesn't worry about her.
We're having a heat wave today, it's 20 degrees outside! Mom did some grocery shopping after she left the center today, then went to gas up the car and get some cash. It was good for her to run those errands today after being housebound yesterday. There are 4 screech owls, a cedar waxwing (who is over wintering), a dove, and a downy woodpecker in the avian nursery today, where mom was assigned to clean. She also did the recovery room again, with ducks, possums, turtles, and a pigeon looking for a home. The poor thing can't be released, and so far, nobody wants to take him. Mom says we have no room here, but she hopes he finds a home soon.
We hope you are in the warming weather today, too, and that the polar vortex has gone back in the arctic! Hugs, Falco
