Hi CuBird
They've been selectively breeding apples for many many years, that's why we have such a variety. A new kind is honeycrisp, developed at Penn State, we think... Anyway, we all eat genetically modified food like corn, beans, etc. The danger is in cloning, because if everyone is growing the same strains of food, when it gets diseased or something attacks it, all of it will be affected the same way. They are cloning most of the trees people buy now, which is not a good idea. Sorry for the rant, so were there any eggs in the robe, heehee??? Mom finally got pics from her phone onto FB, so there are some different ones there than we have on our pages. Hope you are having a good day, girlfriend! Hugs, Falco
