Hi, Kahlua
Thanks for all the tips on f/b. Our mom doesn't really plan to use it for anything other than BC. She just isn't wanting to put herself out there so to speak and that's why she used our names instead of hers. We've seen the names in blue but figured that meant the blog was written on that page, but you say it is tagging to let one know they're being 'talked' about, lol. That is good to know about sending out a birthday or other sentiment and not see all the ones to follow. Not sure if we'll do this tag stuff, but maybe after BC is gone we'll want to do things like that more. Currently we mostly just read everything and comment sparingly due to time. We will learn more as we go.

Mom's mom taught her the basics of knitting when she was a preteen. She knit a bit then but after she was late teens took it up again and basically taught herself how to do most of the different techniques. It would be fun to teach your mom how to knit. As it is she has given lots of tips and advice to Raffikki's mom who knows the basics and sticks to simple projects.

We assume that smoke/CO2 detectors are a must in homes there like here? Dad says mom cooks by smoke alarm, but we are always in another room when the cooking is going on anyway.

The Kindle has a highlight feature so one could do that easily. Our mom prefers to hold a book too, but sometimes the print is too small and hardcovers are heavy to hold. She does have a lot of cookbooks and knitting books and she leaves lots of sticky notes on pages of recipes or patterns she's tried. When our mom bought her Kindle it was on clearance (the new version was just out) and had an offer to receive a gift card and used that to buy the cover. There are lots of great free books so hasn't really been too costly to add books. She's got a lot she hasn't read yet. One should never stop learning new things.

It is good to have an interest that one could turn into a livelihood. Nothing better than having a passion for something one enjoys and is good at.

Thanks for liking the milestones. Other birdies were doing something similar so we did too!

Have a greyt day, wing hugs, beak kisses and a vote, Pearl and Silver.
