Chicklet update
Thank you everyone for all your prayers, emails and phone calls! We had a safe trip down and back. X-rays showed that Chicklet was going to lay another egg so she was kept in an incubator at the hospital given subcutaneous fluids and 24 hour care until she laid her egg. She laid it successfully on the 31st of Jan around 8am. Oddly enough, the egg is half the size! Also, it is sort of miraculous in my opinion anyways, that the prolapse went in and everything is normal down there again! Unfortunately, she is going to lay again, as an x-ray was taken again and there is another egg forming:( I am to keep her very warm...around 85 degrees which I am having a difficult time doing and keep the humidity up too. I also have to give her KY Jelly several time a day in her cloaca to keep it well lubricated to help. I have her under warm blankets with a heating pad and it keeps the temp at about 76. The vet said to get a portable heater but there are so many that have PTFE coating that I just don't feel it safe. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she has been chomping a bit on her mineral block which means most likely an egg is coming in a few days. I am hopeful and am praying that she will not have problems with this one. She gets Cal D Solve in her water and also I grate cuttlebone in some mashed yam and she likes it that way. I will be glad when her breeding cycle is over and then it is a stict diet and hopefully, like Poppy, she will stay away from laying! The vet said to keep her warm (85 degrees) and in a humid environment until she lays and then I am to 'rock her world' and hopefully get her to come out of breeding mode. The x-ray did show that there may even possibly be another egg after this one. I hope not. The Lupron shots would not be successful at this time. Keep praying for us:) Thank you all so much for your help, love, care and concern. It means so much to us. Thank you also for voting Joey BOTD. He will always be a very special part of my life and I miss him dearly. I will get back to blogging individually again soon!

God Bless you all,
