Hi Sweet Kelly...
Hello friend.. Thanks for writing me. Mom and I do miss Mr. Birdie very much but thank God he heals our hearts and eases the pain as time passes. There isnt a day that goes by though that he isnt thought about. Mom misses him yelling at her at bedtime when he was tired and she came home too late. He was very good at telling her when she was wrong. Haha. Spunky lil man. The empty spot in the bedroom when she would take us to bed together every night is especially hard.. Bedtime was our favorite moments together when Birdie and I would get very excited. I guess we love bedtime as much as Mom does. We miss his voice, his kind little eyes, his beautiful feathers. Mom was at the pet store the other day and watched all the parakeets playing and chatting away. It was nice to hear them singing.
Dec through Jan was the worst month ever. Lost 3 of our beloved pets within a months time. All were old and sick with different issues. Our old dog Axel who we think had tumors internally and was bleeding and had to be put down on dec 23rd.. Then Mr. Birdie with his issues was put down on jan 2nd..then on jan 27th our old cat Pudder who had heart disease had to be put down when he developed a blood clot that paralyzed his back legs. Needless to say it was a horrible horrible month for Mom and Grandmom. All three pets were 13 yrs of age. Mom lost her father a yr ago this Feb. That has been very difficult and then all of the pets passing its been a very diffcult yr. Too much loss. Mom has comfort in knowing her Dad was up there greeting each pet that walked through Heavens gates. That brought her some peace knowing the pets loved my Dad and he loved them a lot and knew they wouldnt be as scared when Dad was there waiting to greet them. Dad used to play peek a boo with Birdie and he loved it.. it was very funny watching a grown man who always had a tough exterior playing peek a boo with a lil bird. Dad used to crack up laughing when Mr. Birdie would be looking for him. It was precious. The animals had mourned my Dads passing only to be back in his arms less then a yr later. Mom and Grandmom still have other pets in the home..two of them are up there in age. We cannot take anymore loss right now, we pray God only gives us what we can handle. Wish I had some great happy news to share but unfortunately we dont.
Thank you for being such a good friend Kelly and Kellys Mom! We hope you guys are doing well.. We think about you often.. Hope you had a nice Valentines Day.. Take care and we will stop by again soon xoxoxo
