Cori decides to do something a little different today and tells Boo Boo to take a seat with the rest of the bird audience because today she is talking about Blue Jays. Boo Boo clapped her wings with glee upon hearing this and listens intently to Cori.

noisy and fearless and found throughout the eastern united states and canada but also extending westward and sometimes spotted in western states. there are a few legends that blue jays have acquired over the years. southerners say Blue Jays were yoked to a plow by a sparrow and the mark left by the ole can still be seen on the blue jays breast.
the Cherokee indianas suggest that if find a blue jay feather, soak it in water and then gently brush a childs eye with it, the child will become an wary riser. this will not work if the feather is taken from the bird, it must be found on the ground.
indians from the hudson bay area believe the Canadian jay crowed out a warning whenever the tried to sneak up on a Eskimo camp and for this reason the indians often killed the Canada Jay
because Blue Jays do not always retrieve all of the acorns and other seeds they bury in the fall, they are friends to the forest by "planting" new seeds.
around the time automobiles became common, a Jaywalker meant a rustic bumpkin who didn't look where he was going and a "Jay" often referred to a silly person perhaps because they were considered vain about their gaudy plumage.
