Wow Sophie that was some chance you took flying so high and away from Mom and all the while Mom was begging you to come back to her and you would go higher up...Please do not every do that again those hawks are sure not friendly at all...So glad you stopped by..Here is my campaign blog for today...Today I will be talking about how to keep your Cockatiel Healthy, Happy and Safe...Hope you will find it interesting and informative.(1) Give lots of attention (2) Feed a fresh, high quality, toxin-free formulated diet with daily supplementation of chopped vegetables and fruit according to manufacturer's recommendations (3) Do not feed grit, as it is not necessary with modern captive diets (4) Provide clean fresh uncontaminated water (5) Remove and replace food and water containers twice daily to maximize activity in a healthy bird (6) Provide an occasional opportunity for bath, shower or misting(at least weekly) (7) Avoid spraying house with insecticides (8) Also housing for your Cockatiels (1) Should be as large as possible (2) Be clean , secure, safe and easy to service (3) Be constructed of durable nontoxic material (4) Contain variable-sized perches made of clean, nontoxic pesticide-free tree branches (5) Have food and water containers placed at opposite ends of the enclosure (6) Avoid having perches located directly over food containers (7)Offer occasional opportunity for protected outdoor exposure to fresh air, sunlight and exercise.....Tomorrow I will be talking about "What Cockatiels do all day"........Thank you and have a nice day....With many birdie wing hugs.....Sam :o)
