Hi Willie
the township we live in and the utility companies all say they have a right of way to our property of about 4 to 5 feet.of course every time they repave the roads they cut another foot off of our property. we have a corner lot so they are taking it on 2 sides. it is our property. it has taken mom over 30 years to get the forsythia bushes to grow because on one side it is a steep hill. first mom grew ivy to hold the soil in place so it wouldn't erode and then started planting the bushes their is a telephone poll on the edge and the utility company last year had orders to cut down all the "weeds" near the pole. mom said those aren't weeds but forsythia bushes and you can't cut them. so instead they cut down all the cherry trees on the side of the road stating they are weed trees. these people who do this kind of work don't seem to be very intelligent. anyway the hillside is no longer eroding much because of the good root system mom has established but it is a continuing battle to explain this to the workers. even though the shrubs look all chopped on the edge from mom pruning them the hillside looks very nice and provides a lot of privacy for the parents and cover for birds and wildlife and yes unfortunately lots of black snakes. for some reason the township is determined to destroy our property but the parents will never give up on fighting them.

I killed a big black ant that was running across the carpet in the bedroom tonight. i took it part segment by segment. mom couldn't watch. I didn't eat it because it tasted bitter so mom picked up all the body parts and flushed them down the toilet.

love Boo Boo
