Hi Sky
Mom noticed water bubbling up from under a planter in the front yard yesterday. She didn't think much of it, because it's been raining so much, but today it's still bubbling water out and it looks like a swamp in our front yard. There is actually standing water there, which has never happened before. Well, mom called the water company this morning, and they had a guy here in 15 minutes. He took samples of the water where it's bubbling out. He thinks that, due to where the spot is, it might be the result of a storm drain backing up or just draining slowly. With all the rain we've had this summer, there could be a lot of debris in the storm drains, and the water is pooling here, since it's a low spot. If it's not that, they will send someone out with more equipment to see if it's a leaky pipe. How do they do that? They test the sample he took to see if it's treated water or not. I suspect mom is going to learn a lot about the water company soon.
I hope you are having a nice day where you are. It's supposed to rain and maybe storm here today. When mom walked the dogs, it was so humid it was hard to breathe. Hopefully having rain will drop the dew point to more comfortable levels. Get lots of cuddles today if you can. Hugs, Willie
