Yes, it's like that here too. We have six community theatres in the area, and then the King Center for the Performing Arts which touring shows are booked at. My favorite times in theatre were when we performed melodrama dinner theatres when I was 10 or 11, in a warehouse with patchwork curtains, and the audience was given bags of popcorn to eat & throw onto the stage when the villain would appear. Lately, the theatre that I have been at for most of my performing, has gotten so high-tech, and so into making money, that it hasn't been as fun. I miss the warehouse days, with lots of friends & family present. So, right now I'm on a short hiatus to get my feet fixed anyway, and to...realign my theatrical priorities, I guess you could say. But, around here, there is a huge rivalry between the directors for all of the theatres, and some of the actors who are into that kind of thing. Is it like that there? I hope it's not like that everywhere... It's chilly down here in Florida, but it must be FREEZING in Ann Arbor! Stay warm!
