Angel is a mommy!
Angel has become a mommy for the very first time! She's only about 10-11 months old, but she's doing great! She first laid a small clutch of 4 eggs, none of which were fertile, but after about a week or so, started laying a second clutch. Only one of the five new eggs was fertile, and it hatched on 12/26/2007. Baby Noel is growing like a weed, and will soon have his/her own page. I haven't figured out who the Daddy is yet (it's a community cage, with 2 males and 2 females). When the feathers start coming in over the next few weeks... if they are cinnamon, the daddy is Lucky. If they are grey, the daddy is Danny. Danny is the only one I have seen her mate with, but Lucky is the only male allowed in the nest box. And Lucky is doing a great job helping Angel take care of baby Noel! He's been feeding the baby, and protecting it while Angel takes a break and is out in the cage or with me.
