Well, here we go, for anyone out there who's interested in snake beans, i looked it up on the net & came up with this: They're also called: yardlong beans, asparagus beans/peas chinese beans, pea beans, cow peas, catjang & china pea.
The latin name is: Phaseolus vulgaris.
Just have a look in an asian grocery store, they're bound to have them. Maybe not now in winter, but look again when it's warmer!
