Hello Dusty's Mom
I'm so sorry your baby flew away. I hope someone found him and he's safe somewhere with a loving family' I lost my Boo a white face cockatiel last summer. He was in his cage outside hanging on a tree limb, Romeo my Cockatoo somehow got his cage door open and climbed in and bit him, he died in my hands,I was so horrified, and blamed myself for not being more careful. I knew Romoe would climb on his cage but had no ideal he could open it. I buried him in my flower garden. He was the sweetest most loveable little thing. He could whistle 'he's a pretty boy'& Hello Boo. I'll never forget him. I'm from Oakland TN and have 3 birds.
MY remedy for your pain would be to get another bird. That's what I did and haven't regretted it at all. I have all my birds wing clipped because they do like to go outside a lot in summer. CoCo, Romeo, Smokey's Mom
