Great to hear from you! That's so cool that the babies are flying- it's amazing how fast they grow. I bet Whinny makes terrific babies- what a personality! Plus she'll probably become a better mother with experience, they usually do. I'm sorry about school. It sounds like your teachers are TERRIBLY immature, and for the tuition you're paying you should be getting a really excellent education. It's important to set goals, sure, but there are short-term goals, which are specific, and long-term goals, which should be very general I think because as you said, the future NEVER works out exactly the way we plan. That sucks that you had to give away your lovebird, and your horse! Can you get your horse back if your situation changes or is it a done deal? I made a crow in ceramics Monday- but it looks a little aneamic. I fugure once it's glazed everyone will know what it is (black bird= crow). My teacher suggested I make a bunch of little crows so we can test different glazing techniques on them, so I took some clay home and made five, then I had some clay left over so I made toothpick holders in the shape of an owl, a cat, and a puffin, and a dish shaped like a leaf with a tiny squirrel on the edge. None of them are great works of art, but they were fun. Oh, I also made a wine stopper in the shape of a witch's hat (I am a halloween freak). My jewelry class has suddenly gotten better because I decided not to finish the f*&%ing box and move on to other things. I made a brass keychain in the shape of a leaf and I'm desiging a silver bracelet. I think I would like casting a lot better than metalwork. I'm taking care of Zoe while her owner's in Japan, she's coming home today and I have to pick her up from the airport. It was mostly good, but Tuesday I had the doors open because the weather was so nice and when I yelled at her for something she took off! I ended up chasing her a half a mile before she got scared and came crawling to me, covered in urine and feces (gross dog). That and she peed on the couch one night so now I crate her at night. Oh, my cat Klawed got stuck in the furnace yesterday! My mom left the cover off one of her vents and apparently he went in after mice or something... Anyway he ended up INSIDE the furnace (thank goodness it was a warm day and the heat was turned off!)- I was freaking out (my mom was gone I didn't know where) so I called my brother, who told me to turn off the furnace- good move- and call our handyman. The hanyman was able to uncrimp the ductwork and Klawed hopped out- VERY scared kitty! Of course when I had another vent cover off and was trying to coax Klawed to the vent my cat Lucy jumped in and ran before I could stop her, but she had enough after ten minutes or so and came when I called her so I could pull her out. All's well than ends well, right?
