Hi Chili
Was wondering if you could give me an opinion on something. After reading your story, you might be the perfect one to ask... My mom (Heather) is looking at rescuing a Military Macaw from a neighbor that is moving to Mexico and can't take the flock with her. We are just 'teils and don't have any experience with big birds. First impressions is that this guy is not too aggressive. Would this be just a horrible situation for new owner and bird? The only problem is that the current owner is running out of time to find a rescue and she's afraid of him going to a store where he will get neglected. Mom's aware of the time consumption (escpecially with a new member) and is willing to take the time, but is scared that she will neglect the bird herself because of her inexperience. Any advice?
