Shy
Hello Two-Key! We love your name. And yes, Comet is very shy and he tries to hide from me all the time. I have read that lovebirds don't like direct eye contact and rather you should try to look at them on the sly. He has gotten used to alot of my routine around the house but he still watches me with suspicion if I approach the cage. He loves his swing and his happy hut though! Those are his favorite places to perch. And he's grown very fond of toys that have leather strips in them or hanging from them.
As for being able to tell if its a male or female, I don't know of any other method than to have it DNA tested. Good luck with Two-Key- he is so beautiful! And I'm always more than happy to answer your questions as best I can! :)

~Adrienne (Comet's mommy)
