Hi Artie!
Thank you for flying by for a visit. Wow, sounds exciting, about Maui going to shows that is. Bet you're looking forward to seeing and chatting with her again! What type of bird is she? Well, I think I'll snuggle back into my little bed and take a nap. Last night I helped my moms make a big pot of chili that almost didn't happen after three pounds of frozen hamburger landed on my mom's toe. Mom looked funny sitting in a chair with her foot up with a bag of frozen mixed veggies on it. She told me it was so it wouldn't swell up and change colors which it decided to do later any way. Thankfully my other mom helped mom add everything to this huge pot but the kitchen sink. Wait, I better go see if we still have a kitchen sink today.............Whew, it's still there! Oh, did I tell you that my moms are trying Sweetie out of his collar? He had an allergic reaction to something he breathed a few months ago and started plucking and mutilating under one of his wings. Our vet put him on a regimen of chelation medication to clean out all the toxins. When he still wouldn't let the ouchie heal mom made him a collar out of polar fleece and Velcro. Our vet also told mom that eventually the skin under there would get thinner and thinner until eventually all he has to do is stretch out his wing and he'll start to bleed. He told her about an African Grey they've been treating for six years that has to stay in a collar all the time because of this problem. Sweetie can chew through the Velcro on a new collar in about a week now. So they're keeping a close eye on him and trying him without the collar. If he starts picking and mutilating again mom says she's gonna have to come up with a way to protect the Velcro on the collar. Here's a vote for you! Hope you can fly by for another visit real soon! Feathery baby birdie kisses, Jingle, Honey Bun, and Sweetie
