Hello Baby Boo Bird! Happy Memorial day! After a very cool week we've had a very unusual occurrence for here. RAIN!!! Enough rain to soak everything. The ponderosa pines have been blooming and covering everything with a thick layer of yellow pollen. Now the rain has washed it out of the air and onto the ground. Last week I started a new word that Mama had no clue what is was. I was saying," Cocoa-pie." And, "Ready, like a cocoa-pie!" A day later, "Cocoa-pie," turned into, "Cocara." It had Mama scratching her head and thinking about all my toys and foods that I eat. It didn't match up with any of them. Finally, when my aunt was around, Mama was talking about this strange new word, my aunt smiled and said that I was saying crocodile. She had been teaching me to say, "Snap, snap! That's the crocodile." I love to learn things from my aunt. I mostly use her voice. This morning I spent some time experimenting with my new phrase. This is how some of it went. "What's the crocodile? Penguin!" "What likes the crocodile? Penguin!" Step, step, it's the crocodile!" "I'm the crocodile," and so on. Mama has now tried to tell me that crocodiles might like penguins but not the other way round. What do you think? Now I'll have to do this for the video camera. It's been a long time since I last made a movie. I had better fly now and visit some other birds while I'm on here. The crocodile is snapping off your vote button. Squawk to you later. Poirot |
